English's of Brighton
Seafood · British
English's of Brighton is one of the city's oldest and most celebrated seafood restaurants, established in 1945 and still operating from its original location in The Lanes. The restaurant occupies a row of former fishermen's cottages on East Street and has maintained its reputation for fresh, simply prepared seafood for over 75 years. The menu focuses on local catches — rock oysters, dressed crab, grilled Dover sole, and classic prawn cocktails — served in a warmly lit, low-beamed dining room.
English's of Brighton is located in Brighton & Hove, East Sussex. The city has one of the best dining scenes on the south coast — from fresh local seafood and award-winning vegetarian restaurants to casual beach cafes and independent neighbourhood bistros.
