He moved into senior hospital leadership across Africa, taking on departmental management responsibility for some of the most operationally complex areas of medicine: emergency care, occupational health and safety, crisis management, infection control, outbreak response, and pandemic preparedness. These were not theoretical roles. He was running wards, managing staff, containing outbreaks, and holding responsibility for clinical safety under genuine operational pressure. It placed him in a rare tier of practitioners: a doctor who understood not just how to practise medicine, but how to run medicine at scale, especially under crisis conditions.
Alongside that broader medical career, Dr Selvitop spent the past five years building a secondary specialism in aesthetic medicine. He holds advanced certifications from leading UK and international training providers in botulinum toxin therapy, dermal fillers, PRP, mesotherapy, and advanced facial aesthetics. He wasn't dabbling. He was systematically building expertise in a field he was determined to do properly.
A Different Kind of Clinic
When Dr Selvitop stepped down from his role in Africa, he made the opposite of the expected choice.
