Local talent shines nationally

A Brighton beauty professional is celebrating a well-deserved accolade after being named among the best in the country for her expertise. Jessica Ford, 29, has ranked 76th nationally in the Best for Brows (Non-SPMU) category at the Hair & Beauty Awards, an impressive achievement considering the competition received approximately 45,000 applications.

The recognition represents the culmination of hard work and dedication to her craft. Speaking about her success, Jessica said: "To be recognised alongside beauty professionals from across the country, and to finish 76th out of approximately 45,000 applications, is something I never imagined when I first started my business."

Growing success and second year recognition

This year's award marks Jessica's second consecutive year of recognition at the national event, demonstrating her consistent excellence within the beauty industry. Beyond her ranked achievement, Jessica was also selected as a finalist in the Lash Stylist of the Year category, further testament to her range of skills and professional standing.

Jessica runs her own business, By Jessica Ford, and has recently undergone a rebrand following her marriage earlier this year. She expressed her pride in how far her venture has come, saying: "What started as a small beauty business has grown into a brand that I'm incredibly proud to call my own."

A diverse range of services

Jessica's expertise spans multiple beauty disciplines. She specialises in brows, lashes, permanent makeup, tattoo removal, and fine-line tattoos, offering her clients a comprehensive range of beauty and aesthetic services from her base in Shoreham-by-Sea.

Inspiring the local community

Looking forward, Jessica hopes her achievements will serve as inspiration to others within the Brighton and Hove community who may be considering starting their own business venture. She said: "Being a local girl from Brighton and now running my own business from home in Shoreham-by-Sea, I'd love to share my story and hopefully inspire other local people who are considering taking the leap and building something of their own."

Her journey from launching a small beauty business to achieving national recognition demonstrates the potential for local entrepreneurs to build thriving enterprises while remaining rooted in the community. Jessica's success is a testament to her skill, dedication, and the vibrant creative talent that Brighton and Hove continues to nurture.
